I have put this Hitachi through some pretty good testing and it has not failed on any function and for the first time out of 5 purchases-4 returns It makes and burns CD's that will play in my car-perfectly.
You don't even have to spend a whole lot more to get this quality Hitachi. It looks really nice, very very slim, very quiet, and gets my vote. I use this unit on my home desktop and windows laptop. This Hitachi gets 5 raving stars and I highly recommend this one before you consider any of the other lower priced ones. I really like being able to play DVD movie discs on my phone!
